| The Story of Sedona's Puppies | ||
| In late May (on Memorial Day) of 2008, as temperatures were already pushing 100 F, I was contacted by a friend at Valley Cats and Dogs Rescue to foster a very pregnant Golden Retriever (Mix?) abandoned in the desert. The poor gal, named Sedona, was barely a year old herself - fortunately she already had a home (once the puppies were weaned) with the family that found her. On June 12 she had 7 live puppies (and one stillborn). I found homes for all (but one - see Cochise below) with people that we have direct connections with - family, friends and clients at the Veterinary Clinic I worked at - so I do get to keep up on all of their lives and adventures! Amazingly, all of them still remember me and my family - even if it's been more than a year! As soon as they realize who we are, they turn into excited quivering masses of fur, like they immediately regress to full on puppyhood! This is a sort of photo journal of the puppies as they grew up and went on to their forever homes - with more recent pics added - and more as I get them! Be sure to click on the photo gallery links below to see more pics of the pups! | ||

"Payson"
- now "Cooper"
(male)
- 6 weeks old.. and here he is all grown up... *"Cooper" has always been the calm one. He's quite the gentleman and even wins over those who aren't comfortable with dogs with his easy going ways. He lives with relatives who do a wonderful job hosting a lot of large family gatherings, and Cooper seems to fit in like he was meant to be there! |

"Winslow" (male) - 6 weeks old.. and here he is all grown up... *"Winslow" is ours. He's a sweet, gentle boy who also loves to play rough with our other dogs. He also goes through stages where he is constantly in the pool - just to sit on the step or swim a circle around the step! |
